Lyceum College invites suitably qualified and passionate academics to apply for Sessional Lecturers (Module Leader) opportunities within our newly launched Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching qualification. We are seeking dynamic, student-centred, and academically grounded individuals who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning within a distance higher education environment. Requirements
Minimum RequirementsApplicants must possess:
A Master’s degree (minimum) in the relevant field of specialisation
At least three (3) years’ higher education lecturing experience
Demonstrable experience in assessment design, marking, moderation, and student support
Strong digital literacy and the ability to teach effectively in a distance learning environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A demonstrated commitment to student success and academic quality
A doctoral qualification and previous module leadership experience will be considered [link removed] ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will be expected to:
Deliver a minimum of four (4) classes per semester
Facilitate engaging and academically rigorous teaching and learning experiences
Design formative and summative assessments aligned to module outcomes and NQF standards
Mark assessments and provide constructive, developmental feedback to students
Conduct student consultations and academic support sessions
Participate in moderation and quality assurance processes
Support at-risk students and contribute to student success initiatives
Contribute to curriculum enhancement and continuous improvement processes
Participate in faculty and academic governance activities as required

Sessional Lecturers (Module Leaders) must therefore demonstrate:
Comfort with online teaching platforms and educational technologies
The ability to engage students remotely and meaningfully
Responsiveness to student queries and academic support needs
The ability to work collaboratively within academic teams and institutional structures
