[Pooling] Software Engineer - PHP

We are seeking a proactive and experienced PHP Software Engineer to support a fast-paced migration project. You will join our backend engineering team and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to upgrade legacy systems to the latest PHP version. This is a critical initiative with tight deadlines, and we are looking for someone who can jump in immediately, take ownership, and deliver high-quality solutions quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the clients technical team to understand the current system architecture and migration goals.
• Assist in upgrading the PHP codebase to the latest stable version, ensuring compatibility and performance improvements.
• Refactor and optimize existing PHP code, adhering to modern development standards and best practices.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure system stability post-migration.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer as needed to ensure seamless handover.
• Work within a sprint-based agile environment, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with PHP (preferably PHP 7.x and 8.x).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
• Experience working with legacy PHP systems and performing version migrations.
• Familiarity with front-end integration and RESTful API development.
• Proficient in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and working in a collaborative Git-based environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a distributed team.
