We currently have an opportunity for a Software Systems Engineer to support the DLA in a Remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain accurate, high-quality data reports to support business needs.
• Write efficient SQL queries and actively perform SQL performance tuning to ensure optimal database speed and responsiveness.
• Deep-dive into the data architecture and tables to assist the application development team in debugging and resolving client-facing issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, maintaining consistent communication and a team-first attitude.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Deep, hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views (MS SQL Server or similar relational databases preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze execution plans, index data effectively and optimize slow-performing queries.
• Strong data literacy with the ability to quickly learn complex data structures and tables to debug software issues.
• A strong work ethic, excellent time management, and a track record of being a dependable, everyday team player.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of relevant IT experience
Clearance: Must possess Secret level security clearance
Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I
