Job description
This is a remote position.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our company’s procurement activities. The ideal candidate will manage the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure the best possible value.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to maintain optimal stock levels.
Analyze market trends and forecasts to anticipate material needs and pricing shifts.
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
Collaborate with internal teams (production, logistics, finance, etc.) to streamline procurement processes.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report purchasing metrics to senior management.
Manage vendor relationships and resolve any supply-related issues or delays.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
Requirements
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficient in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of supply chain procedures and global sourcing strategies.
Experience in [insert relevant industry, e.g., manufacturing, oil & gas, construction] is a plus.
