About JerseySTEM All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) [link removed] is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity [link removed] is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit. Overview This is a pro-bono Unpaid volunteer position. JERSEYSTEM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing STEM education to middle school girls in underrepresented communities across New Jersey. Through partnerships with socially responsible companies, youth organizations, and civic-minded college students, we deliver innovative, hands-on and online after-school projects that develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and self-esteem. Join our mission as a Human Resource Generalist to support the HR and Talent teams with planning, organizing and directing human resources activities in support of the mission of the organization. Responsibilities Work with the Senior HR Generalist on human resources operations and develop and implement effective HR processes across the organization. Serve as a liaison between the HR team and the rest of the organization Flexible hours, 3-5 hours/week, 6 months minimum commitment Qualifications 1+ years broad Human Resources experience with exposure to HR Operations Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Well organized, with strong attention to detail Comfort supporting a virtual HR team Resourceful and creative Requirements Time Commitment: Weekly Hours: 3-6 hours per week Minimum Duration: 6 months What We Offer: Impactful Work: An opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of volunteers and the youth we serve.
