SUMMARY:
We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on large-scale infrastructure initiatives within a highly transactional, customer-facing platform used by millions of users across Europe.
This role focuses on delivering infrastructure improvements across AWS environments, helping build scalable, secure, and reliable platform capabilities. You'll work closely with experienced engineering leaders and platform specialists, contributing to initiatives in infrastructure automation, cloud engineering, and platform reliability.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:
- Deliver infrastructure and platform improvements across AWS environments.
- Implement infrastructure changes using Terraform, following established module patterns and engineering standards.
- Design and maintain secure cloud solutions in line with AWS best practices.
- Develop automation and tooling using Node.js or Python.
- Work closely with senior engineers, tech leads, and engineering managers to deliver project milestones.
- Support CI/CD processes, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
- Identify delivery risks, troubleshoot issues, and proactively communicate blockers.
- Contribute to platform reliability, security, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ensure infrastructure follows least-privilege and secure-by-default principles.
- Help improve engineering efficiency through automation and modern tooling.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFront, and related cloud technologies.
- Proven experience building and managing infrastructure using Terraform.
- Strong understanding of AWS security, operational excellence, and cloud best practices.
- Solid experience with automation and scripting using either Node.js or Python.
- Experience working within CI/CD environments and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
- Ability to work independently and deliver complex technical projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in agile engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and delivery quality.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
AWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience with AWS IAM and identity management.
- Multi-account AWS environment experience.
- Experience with CloudFront, WAF, and CDN technologies.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other Git-based CI/CD platforms.
- Experience within large-scale cloud environments.
- Knowledge of service-to-service authentication patterns such as OIDC.
- Previous experience supporting platform engineering or internal developer platforms.
