Bankruptcy Attorney-North Carolina

Our client, a full-service regional law firm is seeking an Attorney for its Bankruptcy Department admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in North [link removed] firm is committed to excellence and exceeding client expectations, with attorneys admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions.

Location: REMOTE -for Raleigh and Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Primary Responsibilities

• Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Review statutorily required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes efficiently.
• Attend and argue motions and hearings before New Jersey courts.
• Participate in mediation sessions.
• Provide legal counsel to clients throughout the bankruptcy process.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Admission to the bar in North Carolina (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts) with CM/ECF filing credentials.
• Minimum 2 years experience representing creditors in bankruptcy/insolvency matters.
• Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues.
• Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and with senior management.
