Account Manager – Medical Communications Publications
We are hiring an Account Manager to join our Medical Communications team, supporting a global growth account within an exciting and evolving therapy area. This role is primarily focused on publications delivery and publication planning, supporting on scientific communications projects across global and regional programmes.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing publication projects, working with clients and scientific teams, and coordinating complex deliverables in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do
You will:
- Manage publication-focused medical communications projects, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, congress materials, and publication plans
- Coordinate timelines, workflows, and partners to ensure deliverables are completed on time and to a high scientific standard
- Support publication planning activities and help manage trackers and timelines
- Be the daily client contact, building relationships with clients, authors, and colleagues
- Collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally, across multiple projects
- Track budgets, forecasts, and project finances with support from senior team members
- Ensure smooth communication between cross-functional teams and identify and address potential risks or delays
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, workflow efficiency, and team collaboration
What we're looking for
- A background in medical communications, ideally with exposure to publications
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Experience coordinating multiple deliverables and managing competing priorities
- Confidence communicating with clients, authors, and internal stakeholders
- Experience supporting budget tracking and project financial management
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage timelines effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality scientific communications
