Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in languages, interpretation, or a related field. Certification: Professional certification in court interpretation is preferred (e.g., from the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators or similar body). Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional interpretation experience, preferably within a legal or court setting. Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in English and at least one other language. Skills: Strong listening and speaking skills. Thorough knowledge of legal terminology. Ability to handle stress and emotionally charged situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong ethical judgment and professionalism.
