About the opportunity:
TaskForce has been retained to recruit a Research and Administrative Manager for a mission-driven organization engaged in political research. The organization works with a national client-base and operates in high-stakes environments where judgment and execution matter.
This role is not with TaskForce. TaskForce is serving as an external search partner for this position.
About the Role
We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research & Administrative Manager to support our political research operations and organizational processes. This person will manage the end-to-end workflow for our research projects, and coordinate the production of research reports.
The ideal candidate has experience managing complex projects, excels at communication and documentation, and brings familiarity with U.S. politics or political research. While they won’t conduct most of the research personally, they will play a central role in ensuring every piece of work is delivered on time, accurate, and strategic. Familiarity with US politics and best practices in both quantitative and oppo research is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management for all research initiatives, maintaining timelines, task tracking, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordinate the selection and vetting of research priorities, ensuring consistency and rigor in the process.
- Manage research report production and quality control, working closely with researchers and editors.
- Serve as the central hub for project updates, documentation, and communication.
- Support administrative operations, including scheduling, information management, and team logistics.
- Maintain and improve internal systems using Excel and other tools to track workflow and output.
- Provide research or analytical support as needed.
Requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years of project or operations management experience, ideally in a political, research, or communications setting.
- Deep understanding of U.S. politics, campaigns, or issue advocacy.
- Strong command of Excel (data tracking, reporting, pivot tables, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
A plus:
- Experience with opposition research, political data, or public records.
- Background in editing or memo production.
