This is a remote position. 1099 Freight Agents / Independent Freight BrokersCompensation Commission-only 1099 structure 30%–70% of gross profit, based on performance and structure Annual earning potential: $50,000 to $350,000+ No cap on commissions Job Description We are seeking experienced 1099 Freight Agents / Independent Freight Brokers to build and manage domestic freight business within the U.S. market. This is a high-earning, performance-driven opportunity designed for true hunters who understand how to win, grow, and retain freight accounts. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on exposure to domestic 3PL environments and asset-based carriers, whether operating cradle-to-grave or handing off execution once freight is tendered.A book of business is not required. Industry exposure is [link removed] You’ll Do Prospect, develop, and close new domestic freight opportunities Manage customer relationships from initial contact through ongoing account growth Quote lanes, negotiate rates, and secure freight Coordinate and manage shipments cradle-to-grave or tender loads to internal operations, depending on preference Work with a network of carriers including 3PL and asset-based providers Maintain visibility, communication, and service standards with customers Own your pipeline, revenue, and growth trajectory Requirements Required Experience Proven experience in domestic freight brokerage or freight sales Background working with domestic 3PLs and/or asset-based carriers Strong understanding of lanes, pricing, capacity, and carrier relationships Hunter mentality with the ability to self-generate business Comfortable operating independently in a 1099 structure Nice to Have Existing book of business Multi-modal exposure Established carrier relationships Benefits Why This RoleThis is not a starter role.
