Job Description:
Quartermaster AI is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to support engineering, R&D, and production operations in the Washington, DC area.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supplier Management
Own end-to-end sourcing and procurement of components, subassemblies, materials, and services.
Generate, issue, and meticulously track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
Proactively monitor supplier performance and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
Swiftly resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, and production capacity.
Inventory Management & Planning
Manage inventory for engineering and R&D operations.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
Support demand planning and forecasting activities.
Logistics & Shipment Coordination
Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
Manage transfers of Quartermaster-owned inventory between sites and vendors.
Track shipments and resolve logistics issues.
Process Development & Systems Visibility
Develop tools, dashboards, and tracking systems.
Establish scalable procurement and inventory processes.
Maintain procurement metrics and reporting dashboards.
Cross-Functional Communication
Partner with engineering teams on BOM changes and prototype builds.
Support production ramp activities.
Communicate material status and risks to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Ability to work onsite.
Experience managing suppliers in a hardware, manufacturing, robotics, electronics, aerospace, or technology environment.
Strong understanding of procurement, inventory control, and supplier management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Startup or high-growth technology company experience.
Familiarity with electronics components and system-level BOMs.
Experience supporting production ramp-ups and NPI activities.
